Location: Faisal Town Group Head Office, Rawalpindi
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Faisal Town Group is looking for an experienced Cinematic Video Editor with a strong command of visual storytelling, cinematic pacing and premium content production.
The ideal candidate should understand how to turn raw footage into compelling stories that create emotion, build anticipation and communicate the intended brand message. The role requires someone who can work hands‑on on key edits while also supervising a small team of editors to ensure consistency, quality and timely delivery.
The position will work closely with the Content Production Lead and Director of Photography (DOP) from the planning stage through final post‑production, helping shape the story, visual treatment and overall execution of content across Faisal Town Group and its projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit high‑quality cinematic content for brand films, project launches, digital campaigns, corporate films, social media and other marketing communications.
- Build strong narratives from raw footage by understanding the story, emotion, audience and communication objective behind every piece of content.
- Develop story flow, structure, pacing and emotional progression to ensure every film has a clear beginning, build‑up and conclusion.
- Work directly with the Content Production Lead and DOP during pre‑production to understand the intended story and plan shots, sequences and visual treatments accordingly.
- Contribute creative ideas on how a story should be visually presented through shot selection, transitions, music, sound design and editing style.
- Manage and supervise a team of 2–3 video editors, assigning work, reviewing edits and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Take ownership of major and high‑priority edits while guiding other editors on storytelling, pacing and overall creative execution.
- Maintain consistency in editing style, visual storytelling and production quality across different projects and campaigns.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, compositing and VFX where required.
- Use AI‑powered VFX and generative video tools to enhance storytelling, production value and creative possibilities.
- Work closely with the production team to identify any additional shots or sequences required to strengthen the final story.
- Handle footage from professional cinema and mirrorless camera systems and organise post‑production workflows efficiently.
- Apply strong sound design, music selection, visual rhythm and colour treatment to create emotionally engaging content.
- Ensure effective file management, project organisation, version control and archiving of production assets.
- Continuously explore new storytelling techniques, cinematic references, AI tools, VFX workflows and editing trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in cinematic, advertising, real estate, hospitality, lifestyle or premium brand content.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating cinematic storytelling, narrative editing and high‑quality visual execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, motion graphics, compositing and VFX.
- Practical understanding of AI‑assisted video production, AI VFX and generative video workflows.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, narrative structure, emotional pacing and audience engagement.
- Ability to take raw footage, a brief or a basic concept and develop it into a coherent and compelling visual story.
- Strong understanding of cinematography, shot composition, camera movement, frame rates and how footage should be approached during post‑production.
- Good understanding of colour grading, sound design, music selection and cinematic pacing.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring video editors will be preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight production schedules without compromising creative quality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate creative direction into polished final content.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is not simply a technically strong editor, but a visual storyteller.
The right candidate should understand how to create emotion, tension, excitement and impact through editing. They should know how to identify the strongest moments in footage, build a narrative around them and create content that audiences can connect with and remember.
The candidate should be comfortable leading editors, collaborating closely with the production team and taking responsibility for the overall quality and storytelling standard of post‑production output.
