Job summary

Rehman Habib Consultants (RHC) seeks an experienced Chief Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision and execution for a large-scale Dam/Water Resources project in Balochistan, Pakistan. The CRE will oversee site supervision, ensure conformance with designs, drawings and contract documents, and coordinate with client, contractors and stakeholders for timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction activities related to the Dam / Water Resources Project.
• Ensure execution complies with approved designs, specifications and contract documents.
• Manage the site supervision team of engineers and inspectors.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, quality standards and site safety.
• Review contractors' schedules, method statements and construction plans.
• Verify interim payment certificates, variation orders and project documentation.
• Coordinate with client, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Monitor timelines and support completion within schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to client and senior management.

The successful candidate will oversee site supervision, ensure compliance with approved designs and technical specifications, maintain quality and safety standards, and coordinate with the client, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction activities related to the Dam / Water Resources Project.
• Ensure project execution complies with approved designs, specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Manage and coordinate the site supervision team, including engineers and inspectors.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship, quality standards, and site safety.
• Review contractors' work schedules, method statements, technical submissions, and construction plans.
• Verify interim payment certificates, variation orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with the client, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, regulatory, contractual, and project requirements.
• Monitor project timelines and support completion within approved schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the client and senior management.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PEC registration preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in construction supervision and management of Dam / Water Resources Projects.
• Prior experience working on projects in Balochistan will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, project management, technical coordination, and communication skills.
