Job summary

PostEx, a leading fintech and logistics company, is seeking a responsible cashier for a Lahore branch. You will manage daily cash receipts, COD collections, and disbursements while maintaining precise records and ensuring policy compliance.

You will perform daily cash reconciliation, prepare closing reports, deposit funds, and report discrepancies to Finance and Branch Operations. A degree in commerce/finance and 1–2 years of cashiering experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Intermediate or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
• 1–2 years of cashiering or branch financial operations experience.
• Experience in logistics, courier, retail, or financial services preferred.
• Basic understanding of cash management, reconciliation, and financial documentation.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and computerized financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash receipts, collections, and disbursements at the branch.
• Handle COD (Cash on Delivery) collections and related cash transactions accurately.
• Receive, verify, and record cash deposited by riders, couriers, and other staff.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash inflows and outflows in the system.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and ensure cash balances match records.
• Prepare daily cash closing reports and submit to Branch Manager and Finance.
• Ensure timely deposits of collected cash into designated bank accounts.
• Verify transaction details, receipts, and supporting documentation before payments.
• Identify and report cash discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious transactions.
• Maintain proper documentation of cash transactions and financial records.
• Coordinate with Finance and Branch Operations on cash-related matters.
• Ensure the safe custody and security of branch cash and documents.
• Follow internal controls and procedures to minimize risks.

We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Cashier to manage daily cash transactions and financial activities at our branch. The incumbent will be responsible for handling cash collections, COD (Cash on Delivery) transactions, cash disbursements, daily cash reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash receipts, collections, and disbursements at the branch.
• Handle COD (Cash on Delivery) collections and related cash transactions accurately.
• Receive, verify, and record cash deposited by riders, couriers, and other operational staff.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash inflows and outflows in the company's system.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and ensure that physical cash balances match system records.
• Prepare daily cash closing reports and submit them to the Branch Manager and Finance Department.
• Ensure timely deposits of collected cash into designated company bank accounts.
• Verify transaction details, receipts, and supporting documentation before processing payments.
• Identify and immediately report cash discrepancies, shortages, excess amounts, or suspicious transactions.
• Maintain proper documentation of cash transactions, vouchers, receipts, and financial records.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department and Branch Operations team regarding cash-related matters.
• Ensure the safe custody and security of branch cash and financial documents.
• Follow company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to minimize operational and financial risks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Intermediate or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in cashiering, cash handling, or branch financial operations.
• Experience in logistics, courier, retail, banking, or financial services will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of cash management, reconciliation, and financial documentation.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and computerized financial systems.
