Librum Bookstore in Lahore is seeking a reliable, customer-oriented Cashier to manage checkout operations in a busy retail book environment. The Cashier will be the primary point of contact for customers at checkout and will help maintain smooth daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately and professionally.
• Handle cash, card, and digital payments; balance cash drawer and prepare end-of-day reports.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service: greet customers, answer basic product/location questions, and assist with price or promotion inquiries.
• Pack and bag purchases, issue receipts, and ensure correct pricing and barcode scanning.
• Support inventory tasks such as restocking shelves, receiving deliveries, and inspecting items for damage or mispricing.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and follow store policies on refunds/exchanges.

Job Specification

Must-have

• Prior cashier or retail checkout experience (preferred).
• Familiarity operating POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Strong numeracy and accuracy for cash drawer reconciliation and daily sales reports.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction and teamwork.
• Reliable timekeeping and integrity when handling cash.
