Job summary

SAS Enterprises is seeking a qualified biomedical equipment professional to maintain and repair medical devices across hospital departments from the Dhoraji Society area in Karachi. You will lead the Bio‑Medical team, ensure preventive and corrective maintenance, and keep precise service records.

The role involves equipment lifecycle planning, repair‑vs‑replace recommendations, and coordination with vendors and clinical staff to optimise equipment performance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of diagnostic, therapeutic, and life‑support equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electro‑mechanical and electronic medical devices.
• Equipment lifecycle planning and repair‑vs‑replace recommendations.
• Maintenance record‑keeping and compliance documentation.
• Vendor and AMC coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all medical instruments, provide proper technical guidance to improve medical equipment performance, and recommend whether equipment should be purchased new or repaired; maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Supervise the Bio‑Medical department, including equipment, repairs, and servicing, for each department's machinery.
• Equipment coverage includes anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, imaging and lab equipment, and related diagnostic/therapeutic devices.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure uptime and safety of medical systems.

Job Purpose

Maintain and repair all medical instruments and equipment across hospital departments, providing technical guidance on repair versus replacement decisions and keeping accurate maintenance records.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all medical instruments, provide proper technical guidance to improve medical equipment performance, and recommend whether equipment should be purchased new or repaired; maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Supervise the Bio‑Medical department, including equipment, repairs, and servicing, for each department's machinery, covering: Operation Theatre, Intensive Care Unit, NICU, Gynae, X‑Ray, Ultrasound, Laboratory, Emergency, Compressor Room, Eye Department, Dental Department, Endoscopy Department, E.N.T. Department, and Physiotherapy Department.
• Equipment covered includes (not limited to): anesthesia machines, ventilators, multi‑parameter monitors, C‑Arm machines, sterilization systems, dialysis machines, defibrillators, baby incubators and warmers, CTG machines, X‑Ray and ultrasound systems, lab centrifuges and autoclaves, and related diagnostic/therapeutic equipment.
