Careem is seeking software engineers to join our NextGen Programme in Lahore. You will work on distributed backend systems powering the Careem Engine, with Java 8, Spring Boot, and AWS infrastructure.

This is an accelerated learning path with top talent and exposure to large-scale services. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and a passion for clean, scalable code.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and data structures.
• Experience building backend services with Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Develop distributed backend services to meet scalable and reliable requirements.
• Maintain features with emphasis on code quality, maintainability, and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and designers to solve challenging problems.
• Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
• Ship high-quality code and participate in code reviews.
