Job summary

Careem is building the Everything App for the greater Middle East and is seeking fresh graduates for backend engineering roles in Lahore, Pakistan. You will work on distributed backend systems powering the Careem Engine, focusing on scalability, reliability, and quality.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in CS, strong fundamentals in OO design, data structures, algorithms, and a passion for learning and delivering high-quality code in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field required.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
Ability to solve complex problems and write clean, maintainable code (love coding).
Ability to communicate technical challenges and work with changing requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop distributed backend systems to meet functional, scalable, and reliability requirements.
Maintain features and systems with emphasis on code quality and testing.
Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and designers to solve problems across the platform.
Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
Ship high-quality code and contribute to engineering excellence.
