Job description

Job Description:

• Design and develop secure and scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS.

• Build and maintain APIs to support frontend and mobile applications.

• Integrate third-party services and data sources as needed.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Write clean, modular, and maintainable backend code.

• Implement and maintain authentication, authorization, and access control systems.

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to define API contracts.

• Handle deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of backend infrastructure.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Job Specification:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 3–4 years of backend development experience.

• Strong knowledge of Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript; experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.

• Experience designing and building scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Proficiency with MySQL, Postgres and writing optimized SQL queries.

• Understanding of authentication and security best practices (OAuth, JWT).

• Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, backups).

• Proficiency with version control (Gitlab).

• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

• A portfolio of public GitHub or GitLab projects that demonstrate your expertise and code quality (preferred).
