Job summary

vFairs, an AI-driven event platform, seeks an experienced AI Engineer to design and scale autonomous AI agents within our virtual events platform. You’ll join a focused AI team handling MCP server tooling, agent orchestration, and customer-facing automation.

You will build multi-agent systems, extend MCP interfaces, and ensure safe, auditable agent actions while collaborating with product and core engineering to ship end-to-end features.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph and FastAPI.
• Experience designing multi-step or multi-agent systems with planning and recovery.
• Strong Python skills and building LLm-powered applications.
• Experience with MCP or similar tool-application integration patterns.
• Familiarity with vector databases (pgvector, Chroma) and SQL-based retrieval.
• Understanding of LLM app architecture and production failure modes.
• Ability to balance autonomy with human confirmation and ship end-to-end features.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product and non-AI teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build fully autonomous AI agents to plan, sequence, and execute multi-step workflows.
• Architect multi-agent systems using LangGraph with planner/executor patterns.
• Extend and maintain MCP server as primary interface for event data.
• Design guardrails, validation, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Build evaluation and observability pipelines for agent behavior.
• Own lifecycle of Agentic features from prototyping to production.
• Collaborate with product to translate customer intents into decomposed agent workflows.
• Work with core engineering (PHP/Laravel/Vue) to integrate services into the main app.
• Stay current with agent ecosystem and assess useful frameworks.
