Job summary

Avanceon Middle East & South Asia seeks a BMS AutoCAD Draftsman in Lahore to prepare, revise, and maintain detailed drawings for building management systems. You will coordinate with BMS engineers, PMs, site teams, and other disciplines to ensure compliance with project specs and standards.

Responsibilities include creating drawings for BMS architecture, control schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, shop drawings, and as-built documentation, while maintaining revision histories and supporting

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of relevant AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably with BMS, HVAC, MEP, or building automation projects.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting and technical drawing skills.
• Good knowledge of BMS and HVAC control systems; high drawing accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and project priorities while coordinating with teams.

• Prepare detailed BMS design and engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop BMS system architecture drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, network layouts, panel layouts, and equipment integration drawings.
• Prepare BMS layouts showing field devices, controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, communication networks, and associated equipment.
• Develop and update shop drawings, installation drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC drawings to ensure proper BMS coordination.
• Coordinate with BMS engineers and project teams to incorporate design changes and technical requirements into drawings.
• Maintain proper drawing revision records and ensure that the latest approved drawings are issued to relevant stakeholders.
• Support project teams during design development, technical reviews, site coordination, and project execution.
• Prepare final as-built documentation based on site changes and approved redline markups.

Job Overview

The BMS AutoCAD Draftsman will be responsible for preparing, revising, and maintaining accurate technical drawings and documentation for Building Management System (BMS) projects. The role require close coordination with BMS engineers, project managers, site teams and other discipline to ensure that all drawings comply with project requirements, applicable standards and approved design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BMS design and engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop BMS system architecture drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, network layouts, panel layouts, and equipment integration drawings.
• Prepare BMS layouts showing field devices, controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, communication networks, and associated equipment.
• Develop and update shop drawings, installation drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC drawings to ensure proper BMS coordination.

• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, applicable standards, and internal engineering procedures.
• Support the preparation of material take-offs and quantities based on approved drawings, where required.
• Conduct drawing quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance before submission.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, design documents, revisions, and project-related files.
• Support project teams during design development, technical reviews, site coordination, and project execution.
• Prepare final as-built documentation based on site changes and approved redline markups.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting, preferably with exposure to BMS, HVAC, MEP, or building automation projects.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting and technical drawing skills.
• Good knowledge of BMS and HVAC control systems. Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and project priorities simultaneously. Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong document control and revision management skills.
