Job summary

Zameen Media Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the planning and designing of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for high-rise buildings. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and over 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design services for residential apartments, hotels, and mixed-use developments. Proficiency in industry-standard tools and adherence to local and international standards is necessary for this role. The position is based in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design for high-rise buildings.
• Ability to perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping design.
• PEC registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planning & designing complete Public Health, Fire Fighting & HVAC services.
• HVAC designs including VRF System, Air Cooled, Water Cooled Systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with different design teams.
• Supervise drafting team and communicate design requirements.
• Preparing Monthly Progress Reports and resolving mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & designing of complete Public Health, Fire Fighting & HVAC services
• HVAC designs including VRF System, Air Cooled, Water Cooled Systems, Boilers, etc.
• BMS (Building Management Services) Integration and Design.
• Design and Traffic Analysis for Vertical Transport System (Elevators, Escalators, etc.)
• Providing optimized solutions for building services of the project
• Collaborate cross-functionally with different design teams on various design requirements and improvements
• Supervise drafting team & Communicating design requirements
• Preparing Design & Tender Documents with Engineer Estimation
• Providing guidance to junior design staff and draft personals
• Preparing Monthly Progress Reports, Initiating Backlog Clearance, Resolving Bottleneck Mechanical Issues

Job Specific Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design for high-rise buildings.
• Proficient in HAP, Elite, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, and Revit MEP.
• Understanding of international and local standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and SMACNA.
• Ability to perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping design.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Support design reviews, cost optimization, and value engineering exercises.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills with attention to detail
