Experienced, hardworking, energetic individual to manage our growing parts department. This person must be experienced in parts and distribution, detail-oriented, a problem solver with superior customer service skills.
The ideal candidate should be capable of working in an active environment and be able to implement new systems to better distribute parts to our employees and customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial & wholesale accounts.
- Assisting in establishing pricing parameters for each customer category to generate sufficient gross profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Establishing and balancing individual parts inventory levels for maximum turnover.
- Monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Ensuring proper tagging of returned or warranty parts for full credit recovery from the factory.
- Supervising stock order procedures and ensuring technicians are adequately supplied.
- Overseeing purchasing of supplies & materials for the Service Department.
- Conforming to policy on special parts ordering.
- Analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Administering an aggressive wholesale & retail parts program to produce profit.
- Providing high-quality service to both external and internal customers.
- Collaborating with Operations & Service Managers for timely parts turnaround.
- Analyzing departmental operations and storage layout for maximum effectiveness.
- Providing technical assistance to employees and customers.
- Coordinating paperwork flow and directing shipping & receiving efforts.
- Developing sales promotions and seeking new parts business.
- Enforcing customer service guidelines and handling complaints promptly.
- Ensuring proper accounting of dealership purchases before payment.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and accepting additional responsibilities as needed.
Job Specification
- Must be a salesperson at heart with a motivated, fast-paced personality and a serious work ethic.
- Automotive experience required (parts sales, management, estimators, adjusters, service writers).
- Computer skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills and phone manners.
- Ability to multi-task, make good decisions, and manage staff.
- Background screening required.
