The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) invites applications for an Audit Officer to strengthen internal controls and compliance across university programs in Rawalpindi. The role reports to the Director Internal Audit and oversees pre- and post-audit activities, PPRA procurement reviews, and COSO-based control assessments.

Ideal candidates hold CA (Inter) / ACMA / ACCA / M.Com / MS in Accounting & Finance from an HEC-recognized university with at least five years of audit experience

Qualifikationen

• Educational qualifications as listed in the posting.
• Prescribed Experience: 5 years relevant internal or external audit experience.

Aufgaben

• Plan and conduct pre-audit and post-audit of university payments and contracts.
• Audit PPRA procurements and civil works contracts for compliance.
• Evaluate internal accounting and control frameworks under COSO standards.
• Perform stock verification and audit store ledgers (Form GFR-13).
• Prepare concise audit observations with evidence, cause, effect, and recommendations.
• Co-ordinate with external audits by the Auditor-General of Pakistan (AGP).
• Prepare DAC/PAC working papers and compliance rejoinders.
