Job summary

NIQ is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of our products. You will work closely with senior engineers and mentors to build technical expertise, apply OO design, and learn functional programming and TDD in an Agile environment.

You will write clean, secure, and maintainable code, build APIs, and participate in full-stack development with TypeScript and Node.js. This role emphasizes continuous learning and collaboration in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or currently in final year).
• Up to 6 months of software development experience (internships, academic projects, or personal projects).
• Understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and code quality practices.
• Basic knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Exposure to version control systems such as Git and understanding of CI/CD
• Interest in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Understanding of web technologies and RESTful API development.
• Willingness to learn TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on software quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
