Job summary

10Pearls is seeking a motivated Junior IBM SOA Developer to join our engineering team in Karachi. The role focuses on understanding software development and enterprise integration concepts while contributing to SOAP/REST services, XML technologies, and IBM ACE/IIB platforms under mentorship.

You will work closely with senior engineers on integration development, implementation, and support activities, gaining hands-on experience with IBM MQ and related messaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of software development and web services.
• Familiarity with SOA and message queues.
• Basic exposure to Java or ESQL is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn under mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise integration solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support the development and consumption of SOAP and REST-based web services.
• Assist in building and maintaining integrations using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Work with XML, XSLT, WSDL, and other integration-related technologies.
• Gain exposure to messaging and queuing systems, including IBM MQ and similar technologies.
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving integration-related issues.
• Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and deliver integration solutions.
• Follow development best practices, coding standards, and documentation guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Fresh graduates to 1 year of relevant software development or integration experience. Candidates with relevant academic projects or internships will also be considered.

• Solid grasp of OOP, data structures, and HTTP fundamentals

• Basic understanding of system integration concepts (SOA, synchronous vs. asynchronous communication, message queues)

• Familiarity with SOAP, REST APIs, and web services.

• Basic understanding of XML, with exposure to XSLT and WSDL considered a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and work under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with IBM ACE/IIB, IBM MQ, or similar integration platforms

• Familiarity with tools such as SoapUI, Postman, and Git

• Some exposure to Java or ESQL
