Job summary

A. F. Ferguson & Co., a member firm of the PwC network, seeks an entry-level Finance Assistant to support routine bookkeeping and accurate financial record-keeping.

You will assist with general ledger activities, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable tasks while maintaining supporting documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong attention to detail, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, are required; teamwork and meeting deadlines are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Finance or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and GL accounting.
• Good analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet and GL accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, as required.
• Maintain supporting documentation and accounting schedules.
• Assist in preparing basic financial reports and analyses.
• Follow established accounting processes, controls, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve accounting queries and outstanding items.
