Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) seeks a legal professional to research constitutional and statutory frameworks, advise on regulatory requirements, and prepare opinions and memos. The role includes reviewing policies, coordinating with internal teams and external counsels, monitoring laws, and supporting litigation activities to ensure regulatory alignment.
The candidate will maintain records, liaise with government bodies, and contribute to due diligence and regulatory submissions
Independently conduct legal research on constitutional/statutory frameworks, and regulatory requirements under laws
Support in the preparation of legal opinions, policy notes, memorandum and due diligence reports on legal issues arising from time to time
Assist in reviewing policies, rules, agreements, and regulatory submissions to ensure alignment with applicable laws and constitutional mandates
Maintain updated records of ongoing legal, regulatory, and policy-related matters and track their progress
Coordinate with internal departments for collection of information and supporting documents required for legal and regulatory submissions
Facilitate liaison with external counsels, regulatory bodies, and government institutions by preparing drafts, background papers, and follow-up communications
Monitor updates in laws, policies, and court decisions, and prepare briefs on their implications for the company
Draft and vet legal correspondence, agreements, MoUs, and regulatory instruments
Support internal and external stakeholder coordination to ensure alignment with regulatory and policy reforms
Litigation support including maintaining court records, appearance before courts and preparation of petitions, replies, rejoinders etc.
Bachelor of Laws from an HEC accredited/recognized university
