Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable

Looking for a candidate with a good understanding and ability to perform day‑to‑day Accounts Payable – Travel while meeting the agreed metrics.

The Travel Supervisor is responsible for managing travel arrangements for contract and internal employees, ensuring compliance with corporate travel policies and delivering high‑quality service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating bookings, and supporting the Travel Department’s administrative functions.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and prioritize travel requests from contract and internal employees.
  • Research travel options and evaluate lowest logical airfares, times, and routings.
  • Arrange and approve travel bookings including air, hotel, and car reservations using World Span GDS, Concur Travel, and authorized travel agencies.
  • Provide travelers with confirmation details and itineraries.
  • Oversee monthly credit card reconciliation to ensure accuracy of vendor invoices and alignment with client billing.
  • Monitor and manage daily workflow and productivity of the Travel Admin team.
  • Support training initiatives for new hires and junior staff in collaboration with the Travel Manager.
  • Coordinate departmental coverage to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate with employees to ensure data integrity and adherence to corporate and departmental travel policies.
  • Serve as a resource for resolving travel‑related issues and inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy & turnaround time in necessary activities.
  • Support and contribute to data collation & report building for operational metrics defined in the process.
  • Required hands‑on experience in using Excel to create reports, Pivot table, formatting and cleansing the data.

  • Periodically review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to capture the changes and get them signed off with relevant approvers.
  • Participate in quality audits to perform required transaction deep dive analysis and support building appropriate root cause analysis (RCA) for the issues / errors/ observations highlighted by the audit teams.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with SMEs and transformation teams in developing solutions.
  • Work with managers to publish daily health metrics to internal management and raise caution on any challenges.
  • Support team priorities and initiatives.
  • Support travel related support/requests with employees during weekend/holidays as requires.
