Job summary

National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) seeks engineering graduates to assist in management, planning and operation of ICT-based platforms.

You will work across Data Centre infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks and security, and NGN/Transmission elements. The role involves deployment planning, SOP development, and maintaining day-to-day technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field required.
• Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) required.
• Age limit generally up to 35 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management, planning and operation of ICT-based technical platforms.
• Oversee Data Centre infrastructure including racks, servers, power systems and storages.
• Handle Data Centre Cloud, virtualization platforms, networks and security.
• Work with Next Generation Networks elements (Softswitch, MSAGs) and transmission networks (DWDM, SDH, Layer-2/3 switches, microwave, RAN).
• Contribute to OSP network deployment (optical fiber, copper) and broadband networks (Routers, BRAS).
• Manage and deploy technical staff; maintain office discipline and day-to-day reports.
• Engage in strategic planning and design of upcoming projects; prepare technical and financial plans for deployments and maintenance.

Qualification: Bachelor degree in the relevant discipline of Engineering. Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council.

• To assist in Management, Planning and Operation of ICT based Technical platform including:
• Data Centre Infrastructure i.e. Racks, Servers and Data Centre Power System (rectifiers and battery banks and storages).
• Data Centre Cloud & Virtualization Platforms, Networks and Security etc.
• Next Generation Networks (Voice & Broadband) elements i.e. Softswitch and MSAGs.
• Transmission Networks elements i.e. DWDM, SDH, Layer-2 & Layer-3 Switches, Microware and Radio Access Network.
• OSP network that includes Optical Fiber Network (FTTX, GPON) and copper cable network.
• Broadband network that includes Routers, BRAS, Switches and customer premises devices.
• Managing and deployment of the relevant technical staff. Maintaining the office and staff discipline.
• Maintaining and analyzing day to day official/ technical reports.
• Strategic planning and designing of upcoming projects based on latest market trends and meeting customer requirements.
• Preparation of Technical and Financial plans for any new deployment or related to Repair & Maintenance of existing networks and systems e.g PC-Is
• Defining and implementing SOPs and processes for smooth operations and maintenance of installed networks and systems.
