Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a seasoned AS/400 specialist to design, develop, and optimize applications on the IBM i platform. You will work with Cobol/400, RPG ILE, RPGLE and SQLRPG to deliver robust solutions and ensure data accuracy through complex DB2 queries.

You will document code meticulously and collaborate with global teams to meet ambitious project goals while maintaining high quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with AS400/IBM i environments.
• Experience writing and debugging complex queries in DB2/SQL.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate clearly.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; capable of multitasking under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AS/400 applications (IBM i) using Cobol/400, RPG ILE, RPGLE and SQLRPG.
• Write high-quality software documentation with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Provide debugging and performance optimization for DB2/SQL queries.
