We are looking for an experienced Manager Architecture to lead client-side design management and architectural delivery across the complete project lifecycle, from per-concept and feasibility through design development, construction, and handover.
The role will be responsible for managing local and international consultants, safeguarding design intent, coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs, driving value engineering, and providing architectural and civil oversight during construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural design delivery across concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, construction, and handover stages.
- Act as the primary architectural, interior design, and civil interface between the Client, consultants, PMC, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Serve as the Design Guardian, ensuring approved design intent, quality, functionality, aesthetics, and project requirements are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review, evaluate, and validate consultant submissions for compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, authority regulations, and industry best practices.
- Manage and coordinate local and international architectural and multidisciplinary consultants, ensuring delivery within approved timelines and quality standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary design coordination and integration across Architecture, Civil & Structural, MEP, Infrastructure, Landscape, and specialist disciplines.
- Support feasibility studies, development planning, design briefs, technical due diligence, and project development activities.
- Lead value engineering, material evaluation, and design optimization initiatives to improve cost efficiency, construct-ability, maintainability, and lifecycle value.
- Support consultant and contractor procurement, including RFPs, technical specifications, tender evaluations, and technical assessments.
- Provide architectural oversight during construction, including review of shop drawings, material submitting, mock-ups, technical queries, and site inspections.
- Monitor consultant and contractor performance and ensure timely resolution of design, coordination, interface, and technical issues.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders to facilitate approvals and ensure statutory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, approved budgets, schedules, quality standards, and design requirements.
- Support project closeout activities, including inspections, snagging, handover documentation, and lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with 12-15 years of relevant professional experience in architecture, design management, and project delivery.
- PCATP Registration and BIM certification will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience managing local and international Tier-1 consultants on large-scale developments.
- Demonstrated experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, or major infrastructure projects.
- Experience in a client-side, developer, PMC, or leading consultancy environment is preferred.
- Strong track record of involvement from concept design through construction and project handover.
