Job summary

HR POD Careers in Karachi is seeking an experienced Android developer to build native apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will translate product requirements into responsive mobile experiences, collaborating across teams to deliver features end-to-end, including media playback and secure authentication.

You will own performance optimizations, testing, code reviews and Play Store preparation, while focusing on UX and stability for a growing user base.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, lifecycle management and app architecture.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling authentication.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, testing and Play Store deployment.
• Knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture and dependency injection.
• Experience with CI/CD for Android and performance monitoring.
• Focus on mobile UX, performance and release ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to translate UI requirements into responsive experiences.
• Integrate REST APIs, authentication, analytics, notifications, and third-party SDKs.
• Implement media playback and streaming functionality where needed.
• Optimize performance, memory, battery use and startup time.
• Write unit and UI tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with backend, product, design, QA and DevOps teams and support Play Store releases.
