Job summary

PMCL-JAZZ is seeking an Accounts Payables Analyst in Islamabad to manage payment activities, monthly closings, and AP reporting. The role requires strong Excel skills, IFRS knowledge, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for timely invoice processing.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in accounting/finance or a professional body membership, with experience in accounting systems (Oracle preferred) and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Master’s in accounting/finance or membership in a professional accounting body.
• Experience in accounting and financial systems (Oracle is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of Accounts Payable best practices.
• Knowledge of IFRS and basic accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing/reporting activities for accounts payable.
• Ensure accurate Income Tax and Sales Tax withholding from payments.
• Maintain aging analyses and AP reporting.
• Handle import-related transactions (ICs & LCs) and vendor communications.
• Engage with stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure timely invoice processing.
• Support end-to-end accounts payable processes and compliance.

What is Analyst Accounts Payables?

Accounts Payable Analyst manages payment related activities of his/her respective area in accounts payable function. Ensure compliance to relevant SLA’s and KPI’s in payable area in compliance to internal and external laws/policies/procedures.

The role reports directly to the Manager Accounts Payable.

What does Analyst Accounts Payables do?

• Perform Monthly closing/reporting activities for accounts payable.
• Ensure accurate Income Tax and Sales Tax withholding from payments.
• Ensure compliance to relevant SLA’s and KPI’s in payable area specially related to Balance sheet quality assurance and analysis.
• Accounts payables reporting and aging analyses.
• Knowledge of Foreign Imports & Services Transactions, ICs & LCs etc.
• To Facilitate internal & external customers in end-to-end process.
• Taxation Law, Financial compliance & Int’l Accounting Standards.
• Accounting information systems, Transactional Accounting & Closing processes.
• Invoice processing as per defined checklist.
• Day to day dealing with user departments / vendors for accurate and timely processing of invoices.
• Communication with stake holders for queries, statuses.
