Job summary

Educative is seeking a Content Strategist & Editor to drive editorial strategy across its sites and external channels. You will blend technical content expertise with marketing, SEO, and AI-assisted workflows to scale high-quality content while maintaining rigorous editorial standards.

You will lead end-to-end initiatives from research and ideation to publishing, distribution, and optimization, ensuring accuracy, originality, and user value. Strong CS/tech background is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in content marketing, technical content, content strategy, editorial, SEO, or a related field.
• Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or another technical background is a strong plus.
• Strong combination of strategic thinking, editorial judgment, research, and execution skills.
• Exceptional research, editing, and writing skills, with the ability to substantially improve content rather than simply proofread it.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them in clear, accessible ways.
• Strong understanding of what makes content accurate, useful, differentiated, well‑structured, and valuable to the target audience.
• Ability to think strategically about content while also executing the work yourself.
• Experience using GPT, Claude, and other generative AI tools for content research, creation, editing, optimization, or workflow automation.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content and apply strong human editorial judgment to improve its quality.
• Familiarity with AEO/GEO and AI-powered search experiences is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute content strategies across Educative’s websites, microsites, community platforms, and external publishing channels.
• Think strategically about what content to create, why, for whom, how to distribute, and how to scale it.
• Conduct user, market, search, and competitor research to identify content gaps and opportunities.
• Translate research into actionable content strategies, editorial priorities, briefs, and new initiatives.
• Research, create, edit, optimize, and publish technical blogs, newsletters, landing pages, guides, and other content.
• Use GPT, Claude, and other AI tools for research, ideation, drafting, editing, optimization, and scaling content production.
• Help build and improve Educative’s AI-assisted content workflows.
• Serve as editorial layer for AI-generated content, ensuring quality remains high.
• Substantially improve AI-generated and human-written content through research, fact-checking, restructuring, rewriting, editing, and human judgment.
• Review content for technical accuracy, depth, originality, clarity, structure, readability, search intent, and user value.
• Identify outdated information, factual inaccuracies, gaps, and opportunities to differentiate content.
• Determine when content can be efficiently produced or scaled using AI vs. needs human expertise.
• Develop and maintain editorial standards for AI-assisted and human-created content.
• Shape headlines, introductions, narratives, CTAs, and content structure for engagement.
• Develop compelling stories around technology, software development, AI, education, and Educative’s products.
• Create landing pages and marketing copy that communicates value and supports conversion.
• Apply SEO best practices with keyword research, intent analysis, and content structure.
• Develop and optimize content for AEO and GEO as search evolves.
• Experiment with new formats, platforms, and distribution channels.
• Identify opportunities to repurpose content across blogs, newsletters, Medium, Substack, DEV Community, and others.
• Manage content across publishing accounts with consistent brand voice.
