Job summary

KnowledgeCity is seeking a Product Engineer to build practical internal applications that empower teams with faster insights, better decisions, and reduced manual work. This AI-first role emphasizes turning business needs into working tools for reporting, analytics, and workflow management.

You’ll prototype quickly, connect systems, and continuously improve applications based on real-world usage, collaborating with stakeholders across the company to map problems to usable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building functional internal tools or automations with AI coding tools or low-code platforms.
• Ability to plan, build, debug, and improve apps using AI-assisted development.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, data models, authentication, and deployment.
• Ability to read and modify AI-generated code without a traditional software background.
• Strong product thinking and ability to map processes to workflows.
• Comfort with business data, validation of outputs, and reporting UX.
• Experience integrating SaaS and internal systems via APIs and automations.
• Attention to data security, permissions, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal applications, dashboards, utilities, and workflow tools using AI-assisted development methods.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business processes into practical solutions.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate internal products from concept to production.
• Develop reporting and analytics apps that surface key metrics and visibility.
• Create operational tools for approvals, task execution, data entry, and workflow management.
• Connect apps to APIs, databases, AI models, and systems, including authentication and data flows.
• Design and refine AI-powered features, prompts, and system logic for reliability.
• Test, troubleshoot, and improve applications post-launch with ongoing maintenance.
• Document apps, workflows, data sources, permissions, and procedures; support user adoption.
