Job summary

FactualIQ is seeking an AI Data Engineer to design and maintain data infrastructure powering its Decision Engine for Fortune 1000 clients. You’ll build pipelines, manage both relational and vector databases, and implement semantic search and retrieval systems.

You’ll work with senior engineers on scalable data systems, ETL processes, and governance, while growing expertise in AI data applications for enterprise use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS / Data Eng / Stats or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of production data engineering with pipelines and data systems.
• Strong Python with Pandas/Polars/DuckDB and performance tuning.
• Experience with relational and vector DBs and embedding-based retrieval.
• Familiarity with Airflow/Prefect/Dagster and data orchestration.
• Solid SQL, data modeling, and cloud SQL services.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant data architectures and data governance.
• Understanding of data quality, validation, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Develop relational and vector DB schemas, indexing, and querying strategies.
• Create semantic search and embedding-based retrieval workflows.
• Implement ETL/batch/incremental data processing patterns.
• Design data models for AI workflows with versioning.
• Develop data quality, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Build caching and performance optimization for semantic data.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders; document data systems.
