Job summary

CMH METLABS is seeking an AI Automation Specialist to drive efficiency through automated workflows and AI-enabled processes within a quality-focused laboratory environment. You will work with lab, operations, and admin teams to identify repetitive tasks, design reliable automations, and promote responsible AI adoption.

Responsibilities include building AI-assisted workflows, integrating systems via APIs, and developing prompts with validation rules.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with AI tools, workflow automation, and process improvement.
Strong understanding of prompt design, generative AI capabilities, output validation, and responsible AI use.
Practical programming or scripting ability in Python, JavaScript, or a comparable language.
Experience working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, spreadsheets, databases, and system integrations.
Ability to map processes, identify bottlenecks, define requirements, and translate business needs into dependable solutions.
Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar tools.
Knowledge of data privacy, access control, version management, testing, monitoring, and error handling.
Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to learn laboratory workflows and maintain accuracy in a quality-sensitive technical environment.

Responsibilities

Assess existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation, process standardization, and productivity improvement.
Design, build, test, and maintain AI-assisted workflows, integrations, and business process automations.
Connect systems, forms, documents, and data sources using APIs, automation platforms, scripts, and structured data practices.
Develop prompts, validation rules, documentation, and monitoring controls to improve the accuracy and consistency of AI outputs.
Collaborate with laboratory and administrative teams to gather requirements, provide training, and support adoption.
Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain appropriate controls.
