We’re Hiring: Lead AI Architect / AI Architect
We’re looking for a hands-on Lead AI Architect to own the technical direction of our AI capabilities and help build the next generation of AI-powered platforms and solutions.
This is an opportunity for an experienced AI leader who enjoys going beyond architecture diagrams—someone who can prototype, build, guide engineering teams, and take AI concepts from POC to production.
What You’ll Do
- Define the architecture and roadmap for our AI platform, including agent platforms, durable agents, enterprise context, evaluation, observability, security, and model integration.
- Design multi-agent and orchestration architectures and establish reusable standards for communication, memory, context, identity/authorization, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Architect enterprise context solutions using RAG, Graph RAG, semantic search, knowledge bases, and enterprise data integration.
- Develop reference architectures and evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and technologies.
- Stay hands-on by prototyping complex solutions and taking POCs toward production-grade implementations.
- Mentor AI engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
- Make architectural decisions while balancing business needs, cost, time, compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Help build and grow the AI engineering team.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years of AI/LLM engineering.
- Strong experience building agentic AI systems and frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Orleans.
- Proven ability to take AI platforms/functions from idea or POC to production and adoption.
- Experience designing systems in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments, including NPI, financial data, data residency, and model/vendor sovereignty considerations.
- Strong technical leadership and experience mentoring engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain and defend architectural decisions to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Python, C# or another modern programming language, along with Azure, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building or scaling a technical team/function, including hiring and establishing engineering practices.
- Experience working directly with risk, compliance, and security stakeholders.
