Job summary

A leading accounting services firm in Sargodha Division, Pakistan, is seeking an experienced Accountant to handle financial reporting, taxation, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in accounting software. Responsibilities include daily accounts maintenance, preparing financial statements, and filing tax returns. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting & tax experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG (Dairy/Food sector preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily accounts, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
  • Prepare and file Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax returns.
  • Collaborate with the production team to monitor costing.
  • Generate MIS reports for management decision-making.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

Maintain daily accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.

Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.

Ensure accurate posting of manufacturing-related costs (raw milk, packaging, utilities, labor).

Record depreciation, accruals, and adjustments at month-end.

Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, suppliers, and customer ledgers.

Coordinate with auditors for annual financial audits and compliance review.

2. Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax returns accurately and on time.

Maintain proper documentation for FBR compliance and audit trail.

Calculate and record input/output sales tax for procurement and sales of dairy products.

Handle withholding statements, e‑filing, and coordination with tax consultants.

Stay updated on tax laws, dairy industry incentives, and regulatory changes affecting the business.

3. Cost & Inventory Accounting

Collaborate with the production team to monitor raw material and finished goods costing.

Assist in monthly stock valuation, cost variance analysis, and production cost breakdown.

Help management identify cost‑saving opportunities in procurement and operations.

4. Coordination & Reporting

Work closely with procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure data accuracy.

Generate MIS reports for management decision‑making.

Support the finance manager in budgeting and cash flow forecasting.

B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA (Finance) preferred.

Experience:
