Job summary

Karvalo in Lahore, Pakistan is seeking an organized Accounts Assistant to support daily bookkeeping, tax compliance, and financial reporting. You will prepare asset, liability and capital entries, update transactions in accounting systems and assist in monthly/yearly closings.

Ideal candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Office, Tally and QuickBooks, with strong time management and attention to detail to ensure accurate payable/receivable records and compliant tax filings.

Qualifications

• Experience with general ledger and month-end close processes.
• Familiar with business registration and tax compliance.
• Proficient with MS Office, Tally and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Update financial transactions in accounting systems timely and accurately.
• Assist in monthly/yearly finalization of accounts.
• Prepare monthly withholding tax statements and sales tax returns.
• Assist in preparation of Annual Income Tax Return.
• Monitor and implement revised taxation rates and regulations.
• Streamline tax procedures and recommend improvements.
• Prepare payable summaries and aging; record payments and reconcile payables.
• Maintain cash register and conduct regular cash counts; reconcile cash.
• Manage petty cash disbursements and controls.
