Job summary

Kanzah Fashion, a Karachi-based apparel and fashion company, is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, AR/AP, cost control, and financial reporting. The role partners with operations, production leads, and vendors to ensure accurate books and timely insights.

The successful candidate will maintain journals, prepare statements, analyze cost of goods sold, and support budgeting while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping: journals, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, BUSY, SAP Business One).
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Ability to prepare financial statements, cash flow forecasts and management reports.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication for coordination with operations and suppliers.
• Problem-solving and ability to recommend process improvements and strengthen controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records: journals, ledgers, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, cost of goods sold, inventory valuations and variance reports.
• Process supplier invoices, vendor payments and monitor accounts payable aging.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoice issuance, collections and customer reconciliations.
• Perform payroll processing, statutory deductions and maintain payroll records in compliance with local regulations.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting and provide management with actionable financial insights.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting workflows.
