A finance and accounting firm in Karachi is seeking an experienced accountant to handle reconciliation, financial reporting, and payroll management. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2–5 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and excellent attention to detail are essential for this role.
Job Responsibilities
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and clean up any variances.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and book monthly depreciation entries.
• Maintain prepaid expense schedules and book monthly adjustments.
• Assist with cash forecasting as required.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidated reports.
• Prepare and Review reports for construction projects and project costing accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting of budget variances to respective departments.
• Assist in the preparation for, and facilitating, the actual annual audit.
• Assist with tax reporting on an annual basis.
• Manage inventory accounting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting/operations software.
• Support the overall Finance and Accounting function with ad hoc reporting and projects, as needed.
• Payroll Management: Handling end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
• Financial Reporting: Contributing to the preparation and analysis of financial reports, supporting informed decision-making.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations related to payroll and finance activities.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Job Specification:Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven experience (2–5 years) as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
