Job summary

Scaleup Connect is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team in Karachi. You will manage daily accounting records, reconciliations, and cost tracking while supporting financial reporting and budget monitoring.

The role requires 2–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting & Finance, and consideration for CMA/ACCA candidates. Prior experience in fashion or textile is highly preferred. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance required.
• Partially qualified CMA/ACCA candidates will be considered.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience expected.
• Experience in Fashion or Textile industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting records, vouchers, ledgers and bank reconciliations.
• Process supplier payments related to fabric, accessories, stitching, printing, dyeing and packaging.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor receivables from retailers, distributors and clients.
• Track production costs including raw materials, labor, wastage and manufacturing expenses.
• Manage petty cash, employee reimbursements and operational expenses.
• Maintain financial records related to inventory including fabric and finished garments.
• Assist in preparing monthly P&L statements, financial reports and cash-flow summaries.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse and Sales teams to verify financial documentation.
• Support tax deductions, compliance documentation and audit activities.
• Monitor budgets, identify cost variations and report unusual expenses to management.
• Assist in improving financial processes and operational efficiency.
