MJK MEDICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC CLINIC in Ermita Manila City is seeking an experienced X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. This full-time role supports occupational health and safety services for our maritime workforce, operating radiographic equipment and performing diagnostic imaging.

You will ensure patient safety, explain procedures, maintain records, assist radiologists, and uphold ALARA radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certification or diploma in Radiologic Technology or X-ray Technology from an accredited institution.
• Current X-ray technician license or registration with relevant Philippine health authorities.
• 2–3 years of professional experience operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
• Proficiency in positioning patients and optimizing image quality for accurate diagnostics.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong communication with patients and medical professionals.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients.
• Familiarity with maritime health standards and occupational health screening is advantageous.

Responsibilities

About the role

MJK MEDICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC CLINIC is seeking an experienced X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team at our Ermita Manila City location. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our occupational health and safety services. As an X-ray Technician, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment, performing diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety within our maritime and shipping operations. This position is essential to supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce and ensuring compliance with maritime health regulations.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining X-ray and radiographic equipment in accordance with safety protocols and quality standards
• Positioning patients and adjusting imaging equipment to capture accurate diagnostic images
• Preparing patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process and addressing their concerns
• Following strict radiation safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective equipment at all times
• Maintaining detailed records of all imaging procedures performed and managing patient documentation
• Assisting radiologists and medical practitioners with diagnostic imaging examinations
• Cleaning, calibrating and performing routine maintenance on radiographic equipment
• Ensuring the imaging laboratory remains organised, sterile and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Responding to emergency imaging requests and supporting urgent medical assessments

What we’re looking for

• Recognised certification or diploma in Radiologic Technology or X-ray Technology from an accredited institution
• Current and valid X-ray technician license or registration with relevant Philippine health authorities
• Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience operating diagnostic imaging equipment
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols, ALARA principles and occupational health regulations
• Proficiency in positioning patients and optimising image quality for accurate diagnostics
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, medical professionals and colleagues
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift or assist patients as required
• Familiarity with maritime health standards and occupational health screening programmes is advantageous
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a sterile work environment
