Job summary

BruntWork seeks a creative Social Media Content Creator to transform existing assets into engaging short-form videos, blogs, and social content. You will craft hooks and captions, schedule posts, and grow the community across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit.

Responsibilities include video editing, weekly blog writing, and reporting on performance metrics. This is a remote independent contractor role with flexible hours (20 hours/week, Mon-Fri 10:00–14:00 AEST).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and basic video editing.
• Proficiency with video editing tools and AI content creation/repurposing applications.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft hooks, captions, and weekly blog articles.
• Active familiarity with major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and community forums (Reddit).
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a consistent posting schedule.

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a creative and resourceful Social Media Content Creator to manage and expand their online presence. In this role, you will creatively repurpose existing visual assets into engaging short-form videos, written content, blog posts, and community interactions.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Video Editing

• Edit and repurpose existing photos, product imagery, and project footage into short-form videos and Reels (Facebook & Instagram).

• Leverage editing software and AI tools to continuously generate fresh content without needing new raw footage.

• Assist with longer-form YouTube video editing as required.

2. Strategy & Scheduling

• Plan, maintain, and execute a consistent cross-platform social media calendar.

• Conduct weekly competitor and industry research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

3. Copywriting & Blogging

• Write high-converting hooks, captions, and calls to action tailored to target audiences.

• Write, format, and publish 1 weekly blog post, including topic research and image selection.

4. Community & Growth

• Drive community engagement by interacting with industry pages, relevant businesses, Reddit, and forums.

• Monitor performance metrics and deliver concise weekly reports with actionable insights.

Requirements:
