Job Description

The Mechanical Welding Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all welding work on mechanical components and structures adheres to the required specifications, codes, and safety standards. This role involves performing inspections on welded joints, verifying materials, reviewing weld procedures, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. The Welding Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of welded structures and ensuring the overall quality of mechanical systems.

• Certification as a Welding Inspector, such as the AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or equivalent.
• Minimum of 04 years of experience in welding inspection, with hands-on knowledge of various welding techniques.
• Strong understanding of welding codes and standards (e.g., CSWIP 3.2.2 & API - 653/ 570, 510 & ASNT Level 2).
• Solid understanding of mechanical and structural design drawings and specifications.
• Ability to evaluate welding procedures, identify defects, and provide corrective action plans.
• Good communication skills to document inspection results and liaise with other teams, including engineers and welders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass medical and safety screenings.
• Proficiency in using welding inspection tools and equipment.
