Job summary

Thermovar Pipes Sales and Services is seeking a welding technician to lay out, fit and fabricate metal components for structural forms, using welding techniques and machining knowledge. You will tack-weld or weld according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders and maintain all welding equipment. Safety and proper PPE use are essential throughout daily tasks and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a high school graduate, preferably with NCII, SMAW, and/or GMAW certification.
• Experience in copper, black iron, galvanized iron and other metal works.
• Ability to perform welding works and physical/manual labor safely.
• Must operate and maintain hand tools and small plant safely.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms.
• Tack-weld or weld components using procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions.
• Perform maintenance and repair on welding equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of tools and equipment with required PPE.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Job description

Responsible for the accomplishment of daily tasks set by Leadman by laying out, fitting and fabricating metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible to tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using different methods as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions.
• Performs all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.
• Ensures safe and effective operation and maintenance of assigned tools, plant and equipment associated with the job using required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Performs or assists in other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

2. Must have experience in copper, black iron, galvanized iron and other metal works
3. Must be able to perform welding works and associated with physical/manual labor tasks in a safe manner
