Job summary

Surtec Philippines, Incorporated is seeking a technically skilled engineer to support the daily operation of a Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF). You will gain hands-on experience in process control, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

The role emphasizes preparing records, analyzing monitoring results, and coordinating with maintenance and environmental teams. A Chemical Engineering degree and willingness to train are required for this on-site position in Laguna.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support the daily operation of the WWTF.
• Develop technical knowledge and experience in wastewater treatment processes, process control, and equipment operation.
• Monitor operating conditions and treatment performance and identify abnormal conditions or potential problems.
• Assist in troubleshooting WWTF operational and equipment-related problems.
• Coordinate and provide technical support for troubleshooting and minor repairs of WWTF equipment, and coordinate with the Maintenance Department or seek appropriate technical/external expertise when required.
• Review wastewater monitoring and laboratory results and recommend appropriate technical actions when necessary.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to the Wastewater Treatment personnel in proper WWTF operation.
• Maintain accurate WWTF operating records, monitoring results, and technical documentation.
• Recommend improvements in WWTF processes, equipment, operating procedures, and overall efficiency.
• Provide necessary technical information, data, monitoring results, and documentation to support environmental compliance activities.
