The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, particularly in the proper arrangement, handling, receiving, releasing, monitoring, and recording of stocks. The position ensures that physical inventory and computer records are accurate, updated, properly documented, and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the daily management and organization of warehouse operations.
Arrange and organize stocks in their designated storage locations according to item classification, product code, size, batch, expiration date, or other applicable requirements.
Ensure that stocks are properly labeled, safely stacked, and protected from damage.
Assist in receiving incoming deliveries and verify the quantity, description, item code, and condition of goods against the appropriate supporting documents.
Report shortages, excess quantities, damaged items, incorrect deliveries, and other discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Encode all incoming stock transactions accurately into the company's computer or inventory management system.
Assist in preparing and picking stocks for release, delivery, transfer, or issuance based on authorized documents.
Verify outgoing items against approved requests, orders, or release documents before dispatch.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining accurate physical and computerized inventory records.
Participate in regular and periodic physical inventory counts and assist in reconciling differences between physical stocks and system records.
