Job description

Order Picking and Packing:

• Accurately pick products from shelves or storage areas according to order lists (e.g., packing slips, shipping labels).
• Ensure that the correct items are picked in the right quantities and sizes.
• Check items for quality, condition, and expiration dates (if applicable).
• Pack products efficiently to minimize damage during shipment and to ensure correct quantities are shipped.

Inventory Management:

• Assist with inventory counts and update stock levels to ensure that the inventory system reflects the current stock.
• Store products in the proper location within the warehouse, following safety guidelines and warehouse organization systems.
• Ensure that products are stored in a manner that prevents damage or deterioration.

Equipment Use:

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move products.
• Safely load and unload items from delivery trucks.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the warehouse manager.

Shipping and Receiving:

• Help prepare items for shipment, ensuring that they are correctly labeled and packed according to the specifications of the order.
• Assist in receiving incoming goods, checking shipments for damages, and recording received products in the warehouse inventory system.

Safety and Cleanliness:

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that aisles, shelves, and other areas are free of debris and obstacles.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, steel-toed boots, and safety vests.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other warehouse staff, including packers, shippers, and inventory controllers, to ensure the efficient flow of orders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers to report issues such as inventory discrepancies or supply shortages.
