Job summary

Citibank (Switzerland) AG is seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our team in delivering scalable software solutions. You will partner with management to define enhancements, resolve complex process challenges and ensure alignment with the overall architecture blueprint.

The role requires SME-level knowledge in at least one Applications Development area, strong leadership, and the ability to adapt priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven working experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements.
• Resolve high impact problems through evaluation of complex business processes and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design adheres to architecture blueprint.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
• Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Advise or coach mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations to safeguard Citi and its assets.
