Job summary

Citibank (Switzerland) AG is seeking an experienced Analyst to design, develop, deliver, and support enterprise applications in partnership with Technology and Business teams. The role leads engineering efforts, focusing on core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud platforms, and modern development practices.

You will mentor junior developers, drive code quality, and champion AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency and scalability across complex systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs / Microservices.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile delivery.
• Experience mentoring developers and driving technical discussions.
• Ability to independently lead technical initiatives with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Apply expertise in multithreading, concurrency, collections, transaction management, and distributed system design.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of medium to large-sized features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, performance, and production issues.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, architectural principles, and engineering best practices.
• Drive code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD adoption, and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Utilize AI-powered engineering tools and coding agents to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.
• Apply Context Engineering and AI-first development practices to effectively leverage coding agents and automation throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Act as a SME for stakeholders and partner teams.
• Identify and implement opportunities for engineering productivity improvements and automation.
