Job summary

AICines is seeking a Video Editor to cut short-form content including Reels, Shorts, and trailers for the platform and partners. You will edit using AI-augmented tools, prioritise early attention, and turn raw footage into polished cuts.

You’ll be paired with senior editors from week one, with opportunities to explore adjacent areas like motion graphics and colour grading as your interests develop. Open to students, recent graduates, and juniors for remote roles.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Film, Media Production, or a related field.
• A reel or portfolio showing real edits (student projects welcome).
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, remote‑first team.
• Curious, self‑directed, and able to take and act on creative feedback.
• No prior professional experience required — students, recent graduates, and junior candidates are all encouraged to apply.

Your role

As a Video Editor at AICines, you'll cut short-form content — Reels, Shorts, trailers, and platform-native video — for AICines and the studios and production partners we work with.

Day to day, you'll:

Cut Reels, Shorts, trailers, and platform-native video
Work with AI-augmented editing tools as part of the standard pipeline
Hold attention in the first two seconds and cut to rhythm
Edit for AICines and our studio and production partners
Turn raw footage and AI-generated content into finished cuts

Training, development & rotations

You’ll be paired with senior team members from week one and work directly on live problems rather than sandboxed exercises. Because AICines spans streaming, social product, AI generation, and film production, there’s genuine scope to explore adjacent areas — motion graphics, colour grading, or AI-augmented editing workflows — based on where your interest develops.

Salary & benefits

Compensation is benchmarked competitively for remote roles and varies by experience level. The role is fully remote with flexible working hours. You’ll get hands‑on exposure to production AI systems and a live platform with real users, plus direct access to founders and senior engineers.
