Job summary

AICines is seeking a Video Editor to craft short-form content such as Reels, Shorts, and trailers. You will work on material for AICines and its studio partners, turning raw footage and AI-generated content into polished cuts.

You'll collaborate with senior editors, explore adjacent areas like color grading or motion graphics as your interests develop, and thrive in a fast-moving, remote-first team.

Qualifications

• Portfolio or reel showing real edits (student projects welcome).
• Familiarity with short-form formats (Reels, Shorts, trailers).
• Ability to edit for rhythm and viewer retention in under 2 seconds.

Your role

As a Video Editor at AICines, you'll cut short-form content - Reels, Shorts, trailers, and platform-native video - for AICines and the studios and production partners we work with.

Day to day, you'll:

• Cut Reels, Shorts, trailers, and platform-native video
• Work with AI-augmented editing tools as part of the standard pipeline
• Hold attention in the first two seconds and cut to rhythm
• Edit for AICines and our studio and production partners
• Turn raw footage and AI-generated content into finished cuts

Training, development & rotations

You'll be paired with senior team members from week one and work directly on live problems rather than sandboxed exercises. Because AICines spans streaming, social product, AI generation, and film production, there's genuine scope to explore adjacent areas - motion graphics, colour grading, or AI-augmented editing workflows - based on where your interest develops.

Salary & benefits

Compensation is benchmarked competitively for remote roles and varies by experience level. The role is fully remote with flexible working hours. You'll get hands-on exposure to production AI systems and a live platform with real users, plus direct access to founders and senior engineers.

Career progression

AICines is scaling, and progression is based on impact rather than tenure. Strong performers move into specialised editing tracks or broader post-production roles as the team grows. Interns who perform well are considered for full-time positions.

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Film, Media Production, or a related field
