Job summary

deployedstaff is seeking a skilled Video Editor to turn raw footage into polished content for social media, YouTube, and presentations. You will craft edits with storytelling, pacing, and strong visual flow while adapting assets to brand guidelines across platforms.

Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects is required, with Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve as advantages. Onsite role with 40 hours/week, HMO from day one, and opportunities to work with international accounts.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities Video Editing & Post-Production:

• Transform raw footage captured by the Videographer into polished, engaging, and platform-ready content for social media, YouTube, website, digital ads, and internal/external presentations.
• Develop edits with strong visual flow, storytelling, pacing, and structure across all Client's brand portfolios.
• Adapt videos into required dimensions, durations, and aspect ratios tailored to specific platform guidelines.
• Incorporate titles, captions, graphics, transitions, thumbnails, and supporting visual elements.
• Perform colour correction, color grading, audio balancing/cleaning, and sound/music overlay.
• Export final files to proper specifications and manage editing project files/working assets efficiently.
• Implement revisions promptly based on feedback from the Videographer and Marketing team.

Creative & Brand Support:

• Work closely with the Videographer to review raw footage and identify key highlights for story building.
• Ensure visual identity, tone of voice, positioning, and brand guidelines are strictly maintained across all individual brand assets.
• Assist in converting technical product specs into engaging, easy-to-understand visual marketing content.
• Support promotional campaigns, seasonal launches, events, and broad marketing initiatives.
• Protect unreleased, proprietary, and commercially sensitive marketing materials.

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in video editing and post-production.
• Proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop preferred; open to DaVinci Resolve experience).
• Strong experience editing digital, website, and social media video formats.
• Solid grasp of storytelling, pacing, structure, composition, and visual flow.
• Experience with colour correction, grading, and audio cleaning/balancing.
• Ability to add titles, captions, transitions, thumbnails, and supporting graphic assets.
• Proven track record of turning raw footage and creative briefs into high-quality finished products.
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous professional editing work.

Desirable / Good-to-Have

• Experience in motion graphics and basic animation.
• Background creating video content for automotive, transport, machinery, or technical businesses.
• Affinity for or familiarity with heavy commercial trucks, vehicle sales, parts, and service businesses.

Work Arrangement

• Work Setup: Temporary Onsite
• Work Hours: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM NZT (General Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week; operating primarily during PH hours with core NZ overlap).
