We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President for the Human Resources Division who will lead the organization’s HR initiatives with a strong emphasis on legal and labor compliance. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with extensive expertise in employment law, labor relations, organizational development, and people management. This role ensures that HR practices and policies support the company’s business objectives while remaining compliant with all local and national labor laws and regulations.
Strategic Leadership
Provide executive-level leadership and direction for all HR functions including recruitment, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and organizational development.
Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Legal and Labor Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Oversee labor audits, investigations, and manage relationships with legal counsel and government regulatory agencies.
Develop and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and procedures in line with the latest legal updates.
Employee and Labor Relations
Lead collective bargaining negotiations and manage union relationships (if applicable).
Handle high-level employee relations issues with discretion, professionalism, and fairness.
Policy Development & Risk Mitigation
Design and implement HR policies that promote a healthy, legally compliant workplace culture.
Identify and mitigate potential legal and reputational risks in HR practices.
Talent Strategy and Organizational Development
Drive initiatives for leadership development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
Foster a performance-driven culture through effective talent assessment and development programs.
Compensation and Benefits Oversight
Lead the design and review of compensation structures ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring legal compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR executive role.
Strong expertise in labor law, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience in managing complex employee and labor relations issues.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with unions and handling collective bargaining agreements (a plus).
Professional certifications such as CHRP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP are an advantage.
