A leading construction firm in Metro Manila is seeking a Vice President of Construction Management to oversee all aspects of construction operations across multiple projects. The successful candidate will lead a team of project managers and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, be a Registered Civil Engineer, and have at least 15 years of construction management experience.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Construction Management is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations across multiple projects and regions. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The VP will lead a team of project managers, engineers, and field staff, while collaborating with executive leadership to align construction strategies with overall business goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement construction strategies that support company growth and operational excellence.
Lead long-term planning for construction initiatives, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Project Oversight:
Oversee the execution of all construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Team Management:
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing construction team.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Development, Finance, Legal) and external partners (e.g., contractors, vendors, regulatory agencies).
Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership on construction matters.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Promote and enforce safety standards across all job sites.
Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and manage construction budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives.
Review and approve contracts, change orders, and procurement strategies
Job Qualifications:
Must be a graduate Bachelor’s degree in in Civil Engineering
Preferably with a Master’s Degree in Construction Management or any related course;
Must be a Registered Civil Engineer
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of managing high rise and large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management tools, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
