Responsibilities

• Accurately administer medications and treatments as directed by the attending veterinarian, with comprehensive understanding of proper dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards within the hospital's confinement rooms, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for animal patients
• Implement regular sanitation protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a comfortable space for both animals and staff
• Monitor vital signs and overall condition of animals under care, utilizing specialized equipment and observation techniques
• Promptly recognize any signs of distress or complications and effectively communicate these findings to the attending veterinarian
• Assist with patient intake, scheduling appointments, and organizing supplies
• Support overall hospital operations as needed
• Act as a vital link in the communication chain between veterinary staff and patients, promptly reporting any observed changes or concerns regarding animal health
• Provide support for the efficient operation of the hospital by assisting with general errands and tasks as assigned
• Assist with restocking supplies, organizing equipment, and supporting patient transportation
