Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital externship provides veterinary students with hands-on experience under supervision, including taking patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, running diagnostics, dentistry, and observing or assisting surgical procedures. It also emphasizes medical management and developing communication with the care team and clients.

Externs may participate for two to eight weeks, with a travel/living expense stipend of $1,500.

• Veterinary students in clinical portion eligible for externship experience.
