Job summary

Pet Partner Philippines, Inc is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support licensed veterinarians in clinic and field settings, assisting with humane animal handling, patient preparation, recovery support, sanitation, and supplies.

The role involves setting up equipment, prepping medications and oxygen, monitoring anesthesia, managing patient flow, and aiding junior staff during busy events. Training in handling and safety will be provided.

Qualifications

• Senior high school graduate preferred; animal science or veterinary background is a plus.
• Experience in veterinary clinic, shelter, rescue, or animal handling preferred.
• Basic understanding of animal behavior, restraint, disinfection, and surgical preparation.
• Willing to train in patient handling, CPR awareness, infection control, and recordkeeping.
• Able to organize supplies and maintain patient identification tags.
• Comfortable working with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Able/Willing to learn how to handle and restrain animals humanely and safely.
• Follow veterinary supervision, infection control, biosecurity, and patient identification procedures.
• Willingness for long-distance and overnight deployment.
• Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, and extended schedules, with lawful compensation.
